Our mission is to couple commerce with global development through a business model that delivers moderate returns to shareholders while fostering a world free from poverty, illiteracy, health crises, forced migration, and conflict. We consider e-commerce the right platform for this model due to its global reach and its ability to offer not only products from mature markets but also those from developing countries, thereby strengthening their value-chain and economies.
Currently, every hour approximately 600 children die from malnutrition and preventable diseases, more than two billion people live on less than USD 130 per month, and in 2024 around 120 million people were forced into migration. Based on data and empirical evidence, allocating 2% of global GDP to effective development would be sufficient to address these challenges within 25 years.
Of course, financial resources alone cannot solve these problems; they require the right strategy, model, and approach. Therefore, we have founded a separate organisation, Global Development For Humanity, exclusively dedicated to this task. We support organisations which implement sustainable development projects.
